I’M BACK!

Here I am! It’s been a long time since I last blogged here…in the meantime, a 2024 full of satisfaction, but also great suffering due to a bad fall, has come to an end.

However, 2024 will remain a year I will always remember, in fact on October 1st Davide and I got married and realized our dream surrounded by family and close friends, in a wonderful place and with a colorful and cheerful celebration just as we had imagined. It was a day that I will forever carry in my heart and that made me realize, once again, how important it is to have a happy and fulfilling life in addition to cycling, which, undoubtedly, gives me so many emotions, but still represents a portion of a much larger existence!

The preparation for the 2025 season started in the best way possible with a beautiful long and adventurous vacation: because as the wisest coaches say, “Recovery is part of training!” Jokes aside (but not too much either), after a recovery period I began my training with great determination and desire to arrive at the Spring Classics in the best condition ever. I think I was able to improve myself in performance and wattage, in fact the results came, although I’m never fully satisfied if I’m not on the first step of the podium. I had a lot of consistency, and I could achieve four victories and many good placings. The biggest disappointment? Paris-Roubaix: after last year’s second place I wanted to bring home the biggest “stone,” but in the end of the race my legs failed me and I had to settle for ninth place.

Thus ended the spring and now I’m ready for the second part of this 2025 season: expectations are high and the goals are not lacking. Next week I will participate in the Tour of Switzerland and later in the Copenhagen Sprint and Italian Championships, I will keep you updated here on my blog and on my socials!
