I can’t stop smiling when I think of my 2018.

It has been a year full of cycling, the first after the high school, with a lot of trainings and races. I’ve had a lot of satisfactions like the bronze medal at the team pursuit’s world championship, the two UCI road races’ victories (Borsele and GP Beghelli), my first World Tour podium at the Ride London and the successful start of this Olympic journey with the European championships and the first track’s World Cup.

August has been the hardest month for me, but going through it helped me for the future.

2018 gave me a wonderful team and I would really like to thank all my team mates: Marta Cavalli, MG Confalonieri, Chiara Consonni, Dalia Muccioli, Asja Paladin, Silvia Persico, Silvia Pollicini, Ilaria Sanguineti, Miriam Vece and Alessia Vigilia. They were more than mates, but really good friends. I would also like to thank our president Valentino Villa and our “boss” Davide Arzeni (SD and trainer) for their disponibility and time that they give to this “project Valcar”…you’re my second family.

I’m also thankful to the “Gruppo Sportivo Fiamme Oro” and to Erica Lombardi, who is taking care of my diet.

I don’t have only sport satisfaction, but also school ones. I gave most of the exams I had to with high results.

Also this blog is a good point of my 2018, hoping for a even better 2019 with more subscribers.

Moreover, in this 2018 I found the support of the Cuneo’s concessionaire Renauto that gave me a comfortable Skoda Rapid for all my travels!

A happy 2019 to all of you!

Keep following me!
